A Resurrection Garden and a Grateful Takeaway
Happy Easter!! I love Easter. It brings the promise of New Life.
Not only from the beautiful bulb flowers and buds and bright green life in the yard but the promise of new life in Christ. He Is Risen!!!

This is a quick post sharing a fun little table decoration I like to make with my kids on Easter. We change it up year to year. I will share two versions but feel free to make it your own. This isn’t my idea, I believe I found it on Pinterest. Wish I could credit the source but I don’t remember.
As we were making this, I was contemplating the takeaway of this Quarantine during the Virus.
Probably much like you, I miss being with people. I miss my daily life, waking up, running late (ha), even the day to day stresses I used to have would be so welcome about now. What if we remembered this when all is over? What if we kept in our mind, the longing to be with others, the gratitude to have a job (for those who still do) even if it isn’t exactly what we want. And what if, at the end of this time of “Social Distancing” we CELEBRATE and give thanks for the life we missed. And we incorporate what we’ve learned; that slowing down is a good thing. That kindness is contagious. That time spent with Family is to be treasured. And most importantly, that life is more than just running from one item on our calendar to the next. Cherish this time, and remember, we will all be together again very soon.

All you need for the basic design is a:
small clay pot
a smooth flat stone (the size of the opening of the pot)
Three crosses (one large and two smaller).-We made ours from twigs and twine.
One year, we added moss, which came out great (See version at top of post–excuse the mud, hadn’t washed it off yet). This year we did it in a big glass vase. I think it would we beautiful in a pot with some daffodils or a Peace Lily!! However you wish to present it, the open tomb is a wonderful cause for Celebration!
